I'm a potential user of the Open Data Certificate but would want to give it to potential data publishers as a checklist prior to creation of the dataset. I would like to be able to print out the entire questionnaire.

Hi Hilary, thanks for your comment. The biggest problem with the approach you suggest is that it's an interactive questionnaire, so that the answer you give to one question will affect what other questions are relevant. That makes 'printing off the entire questionnaire' hard to do.

What you can do, though, is after filling in some of the questionnaire you can look at the improvements you could make to your open data publication. Choose the 'How can I improve my open data?' link on the dashboard or on the tab on the right hand side while you're completing the questionnaire. That takes you to a page that lists things that you should consider doing next (given what you've said in the questionnaire so far), which you can print out.

Is that enough for your requirements?

Hi JeniT, thanks for your earlier response. I'm wanting to use the questions as a checklist for data providers to collect the key metadata elements prior to publication. So although I really like the certificate idea I want my data providers to use it earlier in the process. Might you consider providing in an alternative format in the future?

Yes :) I'm getting a lot of these requests, and I can see the need. I can't promise on dates, but it's definitely on the issue queue.
