Workshop: Data visualization with
This workshop provides an introduction to data visualizcrashation in
R using the
ggplot2 package. The two part workshop is designed to give undergraduate and graduate research assistants a first course in producing publication ready graphs in

- Workshop part of the training in the Security and Political Economy (SPEC) Lab at USC and IR392.
The first part of the workshop introduces univariate graphical data summaries, parameters that control the appearance of the plot, the visualization of data across multiple groups, and how to save plots.
Please download the entire repository as a
.zip file and store it locally on your machine prior to the workshop. You will at minimum need the files contained in the
/data/ folder to follow along the day of the workshop.
Solutions to the homework will be posted the day of the second part of this workshop.
