Is there a good alternative to Compass's sprite generator to use with Bourbon?

I use Sprite Factory (https://github.com/jakesgordon/sprite-factory), it is
easy to use and it works fine.

Sprite Factory looks great. 👍

I don't have any plans on including a sprite generator with Bourbon, because I don't think it really fits into what the project is.

There is also this, but I've never used it: https://github.com/flyerhzm/css_sprite

I would go with @renancouto's recommendation.

+1 @plapier. Keep it simple.

Sprites is the only reason I've used Compass. Sprites definitely should be handled by separate gem.

Looking towards using libsass as it's a million times faster. Think therefore it should be handled by another task: https://github.com/aslansky/css-sprite

We have started a project for building a compass alternative built around the speed of libsass. It's still alpha so YMMV. Check it out here! https://github.com/wellington/wellington
