There is a Model "Factory" in our project since the beginning.
In the last days we decided to go away from a prepopulated test-db and use factory_girl for testing.
BUT FG seems to conflict with our model.
Is there any way to use FG in this case without to have to refactor the model and its dependencies?
All you'd have to do is refer to your factory as ::Factory.
Sorry, but I'm not sure what's not "kind" about that. Anywhere you reference your Factory, your safest bet is to refer to it as ::Factory. The :: explicitly states that it's not namespaced within a module or class and will guarantee that you're not dealing with a FactoryGirl::Factory.
Referring to your model as ::Factory likely won't work, because factory_girl defines a top-level Factory module for the vintage syntax. We'd need a way to load just the new syntax.
