Hey guys it seems that /styleguides is not restricted when running in production :!: (at least in Rails 3.1)
Steps to reproduce
$ rails new flutieapp && cd fluttieapp
$ vi Gemfile
# add gem 'flutie'
$ bundle install
$ mv app/assets/stylesheets/application.css app/assets/stylesheets/application.css.scss
$ vi app/assets/stylesheets/application.css.scss
# edit to add @import 'flutie'
$ bundle exec rails assets:precompile
$ bundle exec rails s -e production
=> Booting WEBrick
=> Rails 3.1.3 application starting in production on http://0.0.0.0:3000
=> Call with -d to detach
=> Ctr-C to shutdown server
And browse to
Sorry about the delay -- is this actually a huge problem?
Well, I think it's pretty bad to have it in production sites, doesn't look very professional.
I sent this to @gabebw three months ago and it was ignored. Reposting in case you're interested:
