I have my s3_permissions set to 'authenticated-read' for the attachment and when I call the expiring_url method on the object from the server it returns a proper authenticated url, But the link returns s3 access denied page. But when I call the same expiring_url method from the console, the link works fine. Why is this happening?

Can you give me examples of the links you're trying? It could be that the link is escaped somehow in one and not the other, or something similar in the way you're trying to load the urls.

Guess what, You were right. The characters in the link were escaped. I just called the .html_safe on the expiring url function and it works perfectly now. Thanks for your help.
