I believe there are many people who come to the development community from non computer science backgrounds. However employers often bring up these subjects when hiring prospective developers.

I would like to see suggestions or techniques from improving ones ability to reason about abstract programming puzzles and becoming a better problem solver.

@wordofchristian I'm intrigued, although skeptical :)

We've intentionally stayed away from "things employers ask in interviews" for this resource.

It opens up a debate about what employers should be asking, which is out of scope for trail-map.

I do think problem solving is an interesting topic and would be curious to know what kinds of resources you were considering.

Also "algorithms" as a trail topic would be very much in-line with the purpose of trail-maps.

@adarshpandit Understandable. I coming at this as a person who notices a specific weakness in their own skill set that could maybe use improvement. Algorithms seem to be a topic that are covered in academia but come up less often in self taught environments.

Indeed. Practical application for Algorithms would be interesting, rather than the theory.

Closing the issue.
