It's hard to know which branch has been backported by the number only.

Right now, the information is two clicks away (click on pull request to open it, click on the link to the original pull request).

I'm totally new to TypeScript and github api. Please review thoroughly.

Are you supportive of the idea in general and do you have time to look at this some time? Let me know if I can do anything to move this ahead or if you are against the proposal altogether and I should prefer to deploy a forked project.
