In a chained dplyr (version 0.1.2) statement, the select() must come before group_by() when using multiple group by variables. Otherwise, only the last of multiple group_by() variables are used.

Reproducible example is available here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22298223/dplyr-aggregation-incorrect

I can confirm that putting select() before group_by() solves the issue.

I think this was fixed by 59e607e
