I would like to define a method mice::compete.mids() that uses the tidyr::complete() for method dispatch. Suppose that imp is a mids object containing the multiply-imputed data. Calling complete(imp) returns "Please supply variables to complete". I wondered whether it would be possible to move the check

if (is_empty(exprs(...))) {
    abort("Please supply variables to complete")
}

to the methods called, so that tidyr::complete() will dispatch on a single argument.
