tried also compiling, it compiled successfully using all github tihmstar dependencies but gives the same segmentation fault

What version of Ubuntu are you using? It worked for me on 16.04.

heh. apparently I was mistaken and was using the sep plist with "-m" parameter instead of the BuildManifest.plist. a kind soul on reddit pointed my mistake :)
