Installation (win10)

This demo is limited to processing files in the parent directory to ./test which has the templates. You can edit the templates by following the guidance here. Some background to the thinking is here.

Dependency

Ghostscript

Download the 64 bit windows AGPL version of Ghostscript, choosing the 64bit windows binary

Add to PATH

You may need to manually add an entry in the PATH environment variable

C:\Program Files\gs\gs9.25\bin 

Check

Check that ghostscript is installed. This is the command is used by gradex-overlay

gswin64c -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=jpeg -sOutputFile=deleteme%02d.jpg -dJPEG=90 -r275 -q edited5.pdf -c quit

although you can delete the jpgs it produces - we don't use them.

gradex-overlay

Unpack the zip in a convenient location.

Open a terminal, and navigate to the directory.

add the mark sidebar (this takes maybe 10sec)
gradex-overlay.exe edited5.pdf mark

Then open edited5-mark.pdf to check red artwork is present on right hand side of the pages.

Repeat for the other stages in the process ...
