Cloud Mapping - New Cloud Atlas

OSM tile rendering.

Changing style in Kosmtik

node index.js serve ../cloud_mapping/osm-bright/osm-bright/project.mml

Export as mapnik xml for use with the tilestashe
and commit the xml file

Running tilestache locally

./scripts/tilestache-server.py -c tilestache.cfg`

Viewing it in a browser

http://localhost:8080/cloud/#6/54.144/-4.373

Import planet

Convert an osm.pbf file to an o5m file

./osmconvert planet-latest.osm.pbf -o=planet.o5m

filter the o5m file to an .osm file

./osmfilter planet.o5m --parameter-file=cloud_mapping/osmfilter_params.txt > planet.filtered.osm

import the .osm file into the database using the custom osm2pgsql Style

 osm2pgsql --slim -d gis planet.filtered.osm -S cloud_mapping/default.style

 Replication then

 ensure planet is updated

 get changes from osmosis

 osmosis --read-replication-interval-init

 change url in configuration.txt
get state.text and put it in the data dir

 vim state.txt

 osmosis --read-replication-interval --simplify-change --write-xml-change changes.osc.gz

 import changes.osc.gz using osm2pgsql

 osm2pgsql -d gis -S default.style -s -C 800 -a changes.osc.gz -e10-19 -o expire_e10-19.list

where e10-19 is the zoom levels

Then process list to get ALL the tiles

 ruby expand_expire_list.rb expire_e10-19.list > expanded_expire_list.list

use tilestache clean script to delete the tiles

 tilestache-clean.py --config=tilestache.cfg --tile-list=expanded_expire_list.list --layer=ALL
