<p>Check in will begin at 10 AM in the foyer of the Business Building, located near the corner of Park Avenue and
Shortlidge Road. Please have a valid ID!</p>
<p>Parking is free for the weekend in the East Parking Deck, a quick stroll from the Business Building and right
behind the Berkey Creamery. If you get lost driving through campus, just look for signs for the Creamery, because they are LITERALLY everywhere.</p>

<p>During this time, teams participating in the Club Cup must register at the check-in booth.</p>

<p>Reimbursement paperwork will be handled from 8pm-12am in the Business Building lobby. Students traveling by car with at least 1 passenger will be reimbursed $0.29 per mile up to $30. Longer distances will be handled on a case-by-case basis.</p>

<h1>Keynote Speaker: Shawn McCarthy</h1>
<p class='lightBlue'>Sr. Leader, Portals and APIs, Vantiv</p>
<p>Shawn is a technologist at heart and has been working with computers from age 12 when his father brought home an Osborne (IBM Clone) computer (with a 10 meg disk drive) and started writing basic algorithms to solve algebra equations. His interest in distributed computing expanded when the first Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) systems went online and he was able to communicate with people around the world. Those passions have evolved into the design of a Web API course (he also teaches) and through continued support of the student chapters of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).</p>
<p>Shawn is a two-time graduate from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University of Colorado. He is passionate about his career and has found a new passion in motivating current students through involvement at both the department and college level. Shawn believes you are given a strong engineering basis in computer science that allows you to think more critically in the large-scale enterprise platforms. This curriculum provided him the confidence and practical knowledge to explore many different platforms and technologies within the enterprise.</p>
<p>Shawn joined Vantiv in 2011 and advocates Vantiv's support for IT Interns, and the number of enterprise level systemsacross every technology stack that allow the company to expose payments solutions for stimulating people like you to simplify payments innovation. He hopes to inspire success in current students so they get as much out of their education as he did.</p>

<li>Students are permitted to come and go from the venue as they please.</li>
<li>All participants must be older than 18, or accompanied by a chaperone at all times.</li>
<li>Participants must abide by the expectations set in the <a href='http://static.mlh.io/docs/mlh-code-of-conduct.pdf'>MLH Code of Conduct</a>, or will be asked to leave the event.</li>
<li>All submissions must be recieved by the end of the allotted time (Sunday at 1PM). They must be submitted through the DevPost, as outlined in the "Submission" section.</li>
<li>Teams can be comprised of up to five members.</li>
<li>Projects should be build on site -- do not use a project you have already started! However, using existing libraries and APIs totally fine.</li>
<li>Create anything your heart desires! Have fun and be respectful of others!</li>
<li>Anything you create is YOUR WORK! HackPSU and its partners have no claim over your intellectual property developed at the event.
