Seems to be fixed in 2017.02.2 Community Edition, can't reproduce it anymore.

Maybe the gmail app for android did the job. There isn't <html> in the reply anymore.

Okay, problem is still persistent, I just got another one. Problem is caused by Gmail's answer encoding (Mail-parts are base64-encoded, the answer within is set above the original full HTML-mail-structure).
