👋 Hi there, I'm Juan Glinton!

Welcome to my GitHub profile! I'm a passionate computer scientist currently pursuing my Master's in Computer Science at Florida Polytechnic University. Here's a little bit about me and what I do.

💻 What I Do

I'm deeply involved in research and development, particularly in the fields of algorithm design, 3D modeling, and AI. Here are some of the highlights of my work:

Research Assistant @ Florida Polytechnic University

January 2022 – May 2022

  • Implemented Python scripts to simulate outcomes of plastic surgery.
  • Utilized Blender API for 3D model manipulation, enhancing patient understanding of surgery outcomes.
  • Worked with professors and surgeons, contributing to a paper currently under consideration for publication.

Algorithm Design Intern @ Florida Polytechnic University

May 2021 – August 2021

  • Created educational resources on algorithm design using Google Colab and Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Developed Python algorithms and a repository of curated code samples.
  • Engaged in peer reviews and collaborative analysis of algorithms.

📝 Publications

  • Facial Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine: Co-authored a paper on open-source 3D morphing software for facial surgery and facial landmark detection.

🚀 Projects

Marsupial Planetary Rover

  • Developed an autonomous extraterrestrial rover for the Florida Space Institute using ROS2.
  • Implemented coordination across multiple autonomous rovers.

Database Security

  • Worked on implementing encryption protocols in non-relational databases. Research paper in progress.
