Use and Reuse

This repository collects most of my course materials for Religion and Science a second-year lecture course I teach in the Department for the Study of Religion at the University of Toronto, so far in the summers. The repository contains most of my notes and assignments, as well as the syllabus and some auxiliary materials.

My lectures are probably much easier to read in their natural form, as slides, at:

However, if you want to reuse this material, it will be easier to use these source files. They are written in Org-Mode, a syntax similar to Markdown but not as widely used. The slides are HTML5 presentations that use reveal.js, and are crated from the org-mode source files by org-reveal.

Some features don’t work perfectly in the web environment. Most notably citations, which I generate using Zotero, will not always look or act the way they should. Also, a whole lot of images are missing, since I steal a lot of my images & don’t have permission to republish them.

This repo is neither complete nor fully organized, but I intend to keep improving it so let me know if you can’t find something.

I hope this is useful to someone!
