Introduction to Redmine RE
Redmine RE is a plugin for Redmine that provides requirements engineering functionality. Redmine RE was develop in the KoREM project "Methoden und Werkzeuge zur Unterstützung kontinuierlichen Requirements-Engineerings in KMU-Projekten zur benutzergerechten Entwicklung von Softwarelösungen (KoREM)" (Translated: Methods and tools to support continuously requirements engineering in small and medium sized companies to develop userfriendly software solutions) at the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg between 2010 and 2013.
There are three major parts provided by Redmine RE: (1) the plug-in provides common types of requirements artifacts, (2) it includes tools for managing the relations, and (3) it includes tools to visualize the requirements specification.
Furthermore, the Plugin is tightly integrated in into Redmine. Relations between requirment artifacts and isues can be established and Redmine RE uses Textile to describe requirement artifacts. This way links to wiki pages, commits and so on can be established.
Install Redmine RE according to these installation instructions.
