Curious if anyone knows if this is something that is somehow exposed within the Twitch API or can be tied into the appropriate events in tmi.js in a future patch?

Here's some information Xangold gave. Currently tmi.js does not include PubSub because it's out of the scope for the module. There is a spin off module called tps.js (npm) (GitHub) that mzmiric5 is working on.
