Replace Erubis

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Erubis is considered dead (hasn't been updated since 2011), and was therefore retired from Fedora ( b1881344 ), which prevents an official package from being supplied.

Describe the solution you'd like
Replacement Erubis with a more current/active template processing, I see that Erubi is generally recommended, and am personally trying this route.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I have not looked at other template processors.
There is of course always copr or direct gem install, avoiding an offical Fedora package altogether.

Additional context
I have started work on packaging tmuxinator for Fedora, but an official package is blocked by the dependency on the retired package. There was previously a package for tmuxinator, but it was retired after being orphaned by the previous packager.
I am currently looking into swapping to Erubi, and wanted to reach out to see if this seemed good to you (as well as avoid any duplicated work).

As long as the API is compatible, swapping in Erubi sounds fine by me.

Do you have a proof of concept working? Also, I'm not aware of anyone else working on this, so I don't think you should worry about duplicated efforts.

I have a proof of concept following the erubi demo code here but unfortunately, erubi lacks the rendering, so this is currently using eval. I think switching to using instanced_eval is the correct way to go about this, but I haven't really done much ruby since collage, and am a bit rusty.

I can take a look at your POC and potentially some alternatives. I'll need to read up on erubi, but, at first blush, using eval doesn't sound like the best option.

Thank you, I realize I haven't done anything on this for a number of months, pulled in the latest upstream.
