@tvdeyen I had a similar problem when my Gemfile had a "local" gem:

gem 'my_gem', path: '../my_gem' # or git: 'git://some/repo'

and my_gem.gemspec had:

spec.files       = `git ls-files`.split($/)

When I changed that gemspec to use Dir.glob('lib/**/*.rb') (or actually, sorry for self-promoting, a Manifest.txt generated by https://github.com/wojtekmach/rubygems-manifest) it booted correctly.

It's a long shot but maybe it's helpful

@wojtekmach @tvdeyen do you guys have git installed? If not, I recommend getting the binary from http://git-scm.com/download/mac.

@tvdeyen

Like shown above, I have git installed. But I also use a local gem with that bundler gemspec scaffold using git to list all gem files. If I am back at my computer I'll try to change the gemspec of my local gem. Thanks so far.
