I spent many years as a technical lead at a digital agency, working on everything from application architecture and backend development to deployments and server infrastructure. Most of my work has involved existing, long-lived systems rather than greenfield projects, so debugging, performance work and gradually improving old code are a fairly normal part of my day.
My usual stack is PHP/Laravel, MySQL, Redis, Docker and Linux, with Vue or React on the frontend when needed. I also work with CI/CD and deployment tooling and generally prefer understanding what happens to an application after git push.
Lately I've been spending some time with Go and TypeScript as well.
Core strengths:
- PHP (Laravel), JavaScript (Vue, React, Inertia), Node.js
- DevOps: CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub), Docker, Linux server administration, shell scripting
- Security-minded with strong debugging, performance tuning & system optimization skills
- Mentoring junior developers and introducing new technologies
- Proficient in English and fluent in Hungarian; experienced in remote-first teams
Some things I've worked on:
- high-traffic news, real-estate and e-commerce sites
- internal ERP/CRM and communication systems
- WebRTC and WebSocket-based applications
- payment provider integrations
- OpenID4VP / verifiable credential authentication
- web scraping and large full-text-search datasets
- CI/CD and automated Laravel deployments
- REST APIs for mobile applications
Open-source contributions
- hungarian translation of OSCAR CPAP reporter
