A quick check for the availability of NSRegularExpression and the use of RegExKit if not would fix this quite easily.

I've received several issues for this - time to update some docs, will leave this ticket open until then :))

NSRegularExpression was introduced recently with a user adding better headerdoc support. Although I used RegexKitLite throughout the rest of the code, I decided to keep it - I'm planning to eventually upgrade to NSRegularExpression anyway, due to problems I've had with with old library in the past.

Anyway, for now you can get away by simply commenting relevant code until it works - I've made headerdoc support opt-in via cmd line switch, so unless you're using it, you should be fine. Other solution would be to replace NSRegularExpression with RegexKitLite, but I wouldn't keep both options, would make code too hard to maintain IMHO.

Commented it, worked fine. I think most people (including me) will upgrade to Lion sooner or later anyway.

That's how I thought too - expecting developers would run latest OS seems logical to me :) There are probably "legitimate" cases for not upgrading, but will be less and less with time...

You could also just disable headerdoc support if you're not on Lion. :)

An option for sure :)
