It works properly on Mountain Lion (10.8) but does not generate the index description on Lion (10.7). Tested on 2 ML and 2 Lion machines. The last version that appears to work properly on Lion is appledoc 2.0.6.

Thanks for detailed report. Weird, could you run it over the same source on both OS with --verbose 5 and send me both logs on tomaz (at) gentlebytes (dot) com... Will take a look and see if I can spot something.

Checked the logs but couldn't find a reason. Did you run both with the same cmd line and over the same set of files - the logs are quite a bit different?

The cmd line is the same on both machines, against the same code base. That's what was so strange. Something at the OS level is affecting the how the markdown processing is happening?

It's possible: they might have changed behavior of a particular method slightly but in certain circumstances, it may produce different results. That being said, seems unlikely this is the case; if at all, I'd say it's more likely it would break on new OS. I got no reports of this issue before also and I'm sure it was working originally, when I developed it. For the moment, I'd suggest you use ML machines for creating documentation if possible and let's see where it will go when I implement this feature on 3.0
