I have tried following the instructions from the linked site, but the restricted model (while it does run faster) does not produce similar outgoing kinematic distributions compared to the original model. To make this comparison between restricted and unrestricted easier, I increased the energy of the electron beam so I could use the default mass parameters that came with the model.
