In PHP files, tcomment uses HTML comments on lines with only a single closing brace, while it should use two slashes. tcomment seems to misinterpret such a line a HTML.
For example in the following example file:

    <b>test</b>
    <?php

    function foobar() {
        echo "foo";
    }

doing a gcc on line 1, will correctly comment the line with html comments. Doing so on line 4 & 5 will use two slashes (//). However on line 6 tcomment will insert html comments: <!-- } -->
