The div containing the actions ("mark as read", "configuration", "logout",...) should take less space. Maybe using small icons would be an interesting option.

Why not, but icons are less ergonomic. So I may add an option in configuration to let people choose between text and icons.

sorry.

I said : It's less ergonomic the first times. but using the reader every day, users will know the action associate with the icons.

I don't read the text anymore, I know where to click to do what I want...

I agree that's why I think that using an option is a good idea, to let people do what they want :-)
I will try to propose icons that are meaningfull.

I agree with it. You can also use some "infobulles" (comment on dit en anglais :o ?) to explain icons with a simple title attribute.

Can I suggest you the best icon pack I know ? It's famfamfam.

Tooltips (infobulles ^^) exists already.
For icon, I will keep the ones in CSS for now in order to keep my single file application.
But it will be possible to add famfamfam with https://github.com/tontof/kriss_feed/tree/master/style

I've added some icons.

Actually it was quite difficult to create meaningful icons so I've just did a try.
I will not add an option for that, but now you can add icon by creating a user.css file into inc directory.
Then just add :

.menu-ico {
  display: inline-block;
}

if you want to remove text on menu

.menu-text {
  display: none;
}

icons

Don't hesitate to improve my icons, there are inspired from

I don't know exactly what do you expect, but I have neither page showing that nor documentation for KrISS :-(
I know I have to do a user manual or something... I know...

By the way, p3ter has included it in his style :
