libelli - high level elliptic cryptography library using OpenSSL.
Heavily based on Ladar Levison's ECIES module code.


INSTALLATION
------------
./buildconf
./configure
make install


GENERATING KEYS
---------------

1. Using online utility
-----------------------

Use the scripts here:
https://kjur.github.io/jsrsasign/sample/sample-ecdsa.html

EC private and public keys are immediately usable.


2. Using OpenSSL
----------------
Generate private key:
openssl ecparam -genkey -name secp256k1 -out myprivatekey.pem

Get HEX strings for private and public keys:
openssl ec -in myprivatekey.pem -text
You'll get something like this:

Remove colons and new lines to get your private key in hex:
b79470e144e7cfb001cbeecc9fa9f9132eddb4acd2a257fb3ede03b28f2e1298

Do the same to get your public key:
0455c2e0dcb59d8196a4ab8a005248eca3f337388302f7a3f3dd2fc5aa2036a2d6946b4e4ae6385e8af89ee552c3e04a3df55641fe13d8c79ebb58c6510e880f14

Note: don't try to use the keys above, they're broken intentionally, generate your own.
