I've replaced json.js which Debian are objecting to (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=692621) with json2.js, which is public domain.

This wipes out a bunch of customisations relating to Java / Rhino that you had made to json.js, but as far as I could see they did not get used by anything in this repo.
