[Question] How to restart 'rownumbers' on every group when `grouping`?

Is there a way to restart rownumbers count at one on every group when grouping is On?

Hi, on last version group numbers works, but there is a new problem,

There is a weird border, and now the css of custom html doesn't work, i'm using bootstrap pull-right class

groupText:['<div><b>{0} - {cdgr_desc}</b><b class="pull-right">{1} Items</b></div>'],
groupRowNumbers:true

note that <td/> has the class for-sticky and not colspan,
This prevents it from taking up 100% of the table's width.

In my opinion, you should move that code to the next td, but it seems that this change is due to the new frozen columns
but that feature is not active here

I'm back, Something happened, the row numbers don't appear in grouping (I don't know what I'm doing wrong, they do appear without grouping), but the problem is the same, I added some CSS classes to make the colspan more visible

Yes, with that rownumber works in grouping

This is because of your additional css settings. Removing these should work. The fix you suggest does not work in sense of pure css settings. I mean if you remove your css setting s and try with the fix you suggest

Those CSS are just to show that the group text is not occupying 100% of the width, those CSS are not in the app
In the previous version it occupied 100%, so you could use groupText template to add html, now if you add a div it goes to a second line due to lack of space, I don't know how to explain the problem, if I add a css that shows the problem you take the css as a problem but not what I want to show

Before i just use .pull-right {float: right;} for {1}, but now there is no width space, and on second <td> there is the span

Now, it depends on overflow, and other dom elements are pushed down, and partially hidden

Now I understand what you mean. This change is needed for the new frozen cols/rows. Will try to investigate the change deeper.

Now I have see detailed why this change was done. This is for frozen columns - in case the frozen columns are set when we scroll to left or right the group text should stay frozen and in case of one cell this will not be possible.

Since we do not know in advance when the frozen columns will be used we set this.

Things that I can consider is to add option to have the old one cell in the grouped row, but in this case the frozen columns when used will not work as expected.
Another option is to use your recommendation with css, which I think you can use it in the current situation, but it needs testing.
As I say before your solution will not work with frozen columns.

I recommend you in this case to use your css solution for your existing grids
