We need to test it on dev first, then merge it into RC-3.1, then master. Does that makes sense or is there a better way?

If we release 3.1 today, we can push this as a hotfix if needed, otherwise it will be pushed in the next release, sounds right?

So: merge this into dev for now, and we get to test it.
If 3.1 is released already after we test it:

• if it's urgent, we can extract it from dev and push it as a hotfix
• if not urgent, push it in the next release
