PHP 5.6-alpha1 has been released yesterday: http://www.php.net/archive/2014.php#id2014-01-23-1
It would be great to provide it on Travis (it would be an easy way for lots of projects to test whether they are working properly on 5.6)
Related to php-build/php-build#171
Add support for PHP 5.6.0alpha1.
Fixes travis-ci/travis-ci#1886 and #268.
5.6.0alpha1 will be available on next provisioning with xdebug and opcache support.
When is this likely to be available?
within 24 hours for .org, .com still needs to be planned.
Awesome. Can't wait!
5.6.0alpha1 is now available on travis-ci.org.
Is it available for Travis CI Pro yet ? If yes, what's the entry like in .travis.yml ?
I've tried with the following methods, not working :
$ phpenv global 5.6
rbenv: version `5.6' not installed
The command "phpenv global 5.6" failed and exited with 1 during setup.
We have it working in our build:
@gnutix sorry, not yet. we're working on updating that environment as well.
@roidrage Okay, thx for the info ! :)
@roidrage Any news about this on private builds ?
Sorry, not yet, apologies for the delays.
We’re working on it.
@roidrage can you give us a date range about the private build support?
I am working on the changelog at the moment for the .org VM updates, and then .com VM updates.
5.6 will be included, as well as a lot more!
Blog post coming soon.
5.6.0 beta1 is available on travis-ci.org as of today.
