Some projects we have seen  require Maven 3 but it is not yet packaged even in Debian unstable and Ubuntu 11.10. So we install it manually. Maven 3 is supposed to be backwards-compatible with Maven 2 so we may consider switching to 3 soon. 1. http://travis-ci.org/#!/pulse00/Twig-Eclipse-Plugin

The previous one, c041adcd8292ec6a66120b823042f98afaf074c8, failed to check out for me (both using Sous Chef and after cloning loicfrering/php-build and CHH/php-build). Maybe it was garbage collected (github runs git gc on repositories every so often). I am not the right person to decide whether it is a good idea to use php-build fork and what commit we should pin to but this way provisioning works again.
The rationale is to not have Scala jars to be downloaded for every single build. Note that this needs to be done carefully.
