This ensures that the "fiddle" stdlib gets built.


Note that I have been unable to test that this does actually have the desired effect. Let me know if you're happy to just merge it, or if you'd like me to try harder to build a test VM and test it properly.

Ah, I don't think this will help with Ruby, you need to ask @mpapis to build the Ruby binaries with fiddle being included.

I will still look at merging this though

added here: rvm/rvm@14fec7d running rebuild now for all Ubuntu 12.04+ Rubies

recompiled binaries available in RVM 1.17.10

@joshk any chance of a rebuild now that RVM added fiddle? (I am still getting failures because fiddle is not available) <3 <3 <3

just to be sure I have just confirmed that https://rvm.io/binaries/ubuntu/12.10/x86_64/ruby-1.9.3-p374.tar.bz2 contains ruby-1.9.3-p374/lib/ruby/1.9.1/x86_64-linux/fiddle.so which requires libffi.so.6
