Converting textures to dds

Mikołaj Milej edited this page Dec 30, 2013 · 1 revision

CryBlend is able to convert all your textures to dds but there are requirements for that:

  • RC 3.4.5 - newer one are unsupported because of issues so if you are using newer CryEngine then you have to select RC 3.4.5 for conversion Find Resource Compiler For Texture Conversion.
  • Select Convert Images To DDS while exporting

The whole issue is because Blender saves tiff with Deflate compression which is unsupported in RC newer than 3.4.5.
If you have tiff wit none, LZW, PackBits compression then it should work with newer RC.
