I am using:

bootstrap 2.2.0
bootstrap-responsive.css from 2.2.0

The top fixed navbar is pushed out and becomes unfixed once I touch a text input that brings up the iPad's keypad. I have tested this on an Sumsung Galaxy and an iPad, but it only happens on the iPad.

I get the same issue on the Bootstrap site as well: http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/base-css.html#forms

On the Bootstrap site go to the following when using an iPad:

  1. Base Css link in the top menu
  2. Then go to Forms in the left navgation
  3. Touch one of the text input fields that will bring up the iPad keypad.
  4. Notice that the keypad pushes the fixed navbar upwards.
  5. Now while the keypad is open scroll back up onto the page and you will see that the navbar moves with the page and is no longer fixed.
  6. Only once you close the keypad does the navbar pop back into place.
  7. It does the same with the fixed footer if you are at the top of a page and then touch an input field.

There isn't much we can do about this right now honestly—this is a problem on iOS's side, not ours. We could write JS to trick the browser into thinking it's moving to recalc the position, but that's not worth it. For now, we have to punt on this.

+1 I have the same problem and I couldn't figurate out how to fix it.
I understand this is not a bug and isn't bootstrap fault but if someone could figurate out a workaround that will be greats !
