Currently translation of txt2tags is a mess.
Transifex is used with succes by big mainstream projects, as Django and others
http://www.transifex.net/projects/
Maybe this could be a great solution for txt2tags too.

Transifex (transifex.org) is a free software under the license GNU GPL, so we
can use Transifex.net or host it ourselves.

I don't think currently it is a mess, but I liked the Transifex idea :)

how are the files hosted on transifex synchronised back to the svn repository?
Are we doing this only for the final releases or from time to time?

1. There's a Transifex client one can install
(http://help.transifex.net/user-guide/client/client-0.3.html) and then use the
following command to update the local SVN working copy:

cd trunk
tx pull -a

In a similar way, local changes can be pushed to Transifex server with: tx push.

2. Since Transifex handles it all, we can do it just at release time. But as I
still want to make translation available to update by hand for those who
prefers it, I'm doing "tx pul ; svn commit" from time to time to keep SVN
updated.
