Thank you, Lockal. BTW, what are you using Transifex for?

My current goal is to investigate, how well Transifex CE suits for Blender. The biggest .pot file we have contains >18000 strings, which is a big challenge for any online translation system. And Transifex performs quite nice! I was able to add a new language (uz@cyrillic), customize templates, add a custom css file, add custom addon which converts occurrences in the form "bpy.types.POSE_OT_transforms_clear" to link bpy.types.POSE_OT_transforms_clear. Everything looks nice, but unfortunately the main git repo seems to be neglected (easy_install package is terribly broken, git is also partially broken), while SAAS version rolls updates every week. It violates GNU GPLv2, and personally I don't support such type of business. If I don't see any commits in there (at least merging any pull request), I'm not going to use it in production.

Alas, chances that you will see your requests merged are low and chances for new commits are even lower.

They have ceased development of Transifex CE last spring. FYI:

Nov 07 14:53:19 [tymofiy] hello, guys. And especially diegobz and mpessas
Nov 07 14:53:48 [tymofiy] question: why there are almost no commits on github since end of May?
Nov 07 14:55:17 [tymofiy] it looks like as if opensource development of Tx was practically ceased, and only occasionally devs pay a visit there to merge a patch or two
Nov 07 15:02:22 [diegobz] tymofiy: we changed some things internally on our development, because maintaining two repos was causing more troubles than benefices to our devel team.
Nov 07 15:02:44 [diegobz] tymofiy: we are migration/refactoring a bunch code right now
Nov 07 15:03:45 [diegobz] tymofiy: this is why the open repo is not being updated
Nov 07 15:05:08 [tymofiy] and what will be development model after the refactoring is complete?
Nov 07 15:05:12 [diegobz] tymofiy: eventually it will receive some big commits with stuff that is worth to be put there... but it might take some time, once we are in the middle of the process.
Nov 07 15:06:58 [tymofiy] as far as I understand, there were two repos: Transifex-opensource, and Transifex-commercial based on first. And you're merging them into big internal repo?
Nov 07 15:07:10 [diegobz] tymofiy: we will keep our development closed, because we are focusing on tx.com mostly and eventually big commits will land on the open version.
Nov 07 15:07:57 [diegobz] tymofiy: yes... maintaining both repos was just causing us troubles.
Nov 07 15:09:54 [tymofiy] hmm. IMHO that would be worth explaining in a blog post, just like silent migration to github did
Nov 07 15:10:47 * rudy_ (~rudy@growl/rudy) зайшов на канал #transifex
Nov 07 15:11:00 [tymofiy] and, if I am reading it right, opensource version of Tx and commercial version of Tx would stop sharing common part, and live in two separate repos?
Nov 07 15:11:08 * sayan (~sayanchow@fedora/sayan) зайшов на канал #transifex
Nov 07 15:11:15 [diegobz] tymofiy: BTW the lately development of Transifex was basically targeting business needs of tx.com.... so there is no much code to port to the open version.
Nov 07 15:11:20 * sayan вийшов (Read error: Connection reset by peer)
Nov 07 15:11:49 [tymofiy] your dev efforts would go into commercial one, and, eventually, if someone of your team would have the time, inspiration and permission, he could land patches to opensource version?
Nov 07 15:12:15 [diegobz] tymofiy: sort of.
Nov 07 15:13:03 [diegobz] tymofiy: I will see what we can do to make it clear on a blog post or something.
