Volume of incoming calls too low

The volume of incoming calls seems to be abnormally low in the Nexus 5.

On which channel you are at the moment? I played a bit with my N5 in devel, and it was more or less OK, at least I did not notice anything...

I'm on 15.04/rc. The volume is not so low as to make it unusable, but if you are in a noisy place, for instance in a street with traffic, it can become hard to hear your call.

As @wagafo said if you are in the market or in a really crowded place it is hard to hear what the other person is talking ... by the way the mike volume seems to be ok ... I got from time to time a reaction that: "I can hear you 5 by 5" (I know I suck on english and need to say in a way that the person can hear me loud and clear).

Hi, I'm having this issue too. I can barely hear person speaking, but they can hear me OK. I looked in logs of application-legacy-dialer-app, but there is nothing interesting regarding call volume. Only interesting line in a log is probably library "/vendor/lib/egl/libGLESv2S3D_adreno.so" not found but otherwise my phone works ok. I'm on "stable" channel.
Did anybody solved this or looked into it more deeply ? Maybe it's stupid question, but can I run something like alsamixer to play with volume ? Because I can change volume only by hw buttons or GUI.
