When ParaTExt is used to digitise historic Bible versions, it's sometimes the case that there are many instances of Roman numerals used for various purposes.

A common example is the use of Roman numerals in Scripture references for the chapter number and (less commonly) verse number.

Might it be sensible to provide for such by defining a suitable marker for Roman numerals, even to the extent of having a word level attribute in which the numerical value is properly recorded?

This would have the benefit that these references could be more readily scripted for use with Bible software, etc.
