It looks like the build is still failing: https://travis-ci.org/ubuntu/snappy-playpen/builds/155893175

It worked before on my machine, unless I'm missing a dep.

You need a compiler in your build-packages.

mm still getting the CXX error though.

You need to add build-essential to the build-packages. It pulls in everything needed. I tested here with snapcraft cleanbuild. Without that package specified, there's no compiler to build otter. Simple as that :)

Why did you close the PR? I think there wasn't much missing to get this merged...
