Clarify settings text: Bell should only ring in alarm-only or priority-only mode, never ever in complete-silence mode. In Android versions before Lollipop there was only one silence-mode which is impacted by the option.

Settings text clarified for API level >= 21, it's a bit difficult now but I have no idea how to shorten the text. Here we go:

Mute with phone: Muted (no display/sound/vibration) in modes total-silence and alarms-only and with 0-volume, not muted (therefore display/sound/vibration) in priority-only mode

Not muted with phone: No sound but display/vibration in modes total-silence and alarms-only, not muted (therefore display/sound/vibration) in priority-only mode and with 0-volume

Correction was erroneous and settings text for Android Lollipop must be different because the mode names are different and Android Marshmallow has one more upon. FAQ entry to explain what happens in detail.
