This dialect breaks the offline natural templating of Thymeleaf pretty hard, so I'd like to make decorator pages show when not running on an app server too. First I'll see if I can contribute to Thymol to make it a part of that library.

EDIT: OK, so 'pretty hard' is an inaccurate description, it should be: the layout dialect kind of encourages the creation of incomplete fragments which don't look very good as static prototypes.

Unfortunately no, there hasn't been any progress on this issue. I did want to see whether the Thymol (JS emulator of Thymeleaf) project would allow for extension points that I could use to do this. Haven't heard anything about that yet though.

Created a new GitHub repo where I'll try to get this going: https://github.com/ultraq/thymeleaf-layout-dialect-js
