Without this, the factory may be scanned for additional dependencies matching the literal string `require("module-id")`, which is not correct. See https://github.com/amdjs/amdjs-api/wiki/AMD#simplified-commonjs-wrapping-.

Set a global even when AMD is used fixed.
These things are so esoteric, it always takes me a few minutes to tease them apart. It'd be nice to have this variation listed.
Not using 'var define' hoists function out of the if block making 'define' defined as a function making that check a double fail.
Based on some UMD gists floating around.
