  • Preparing your boot media
  • Create a tar.bz2 archive from your Ubuntu installation
  • Copy the archive to a system from which you can prepare the uSD / USB media
  • Partition the boot media
  • Create the file systems
  • Mount the filesystems in the correct order
  • Extract the archive on the boot media
  • Choose the default kernel image to be loaded by default
  • Unmount the filesystems and remove the boot media
  • Boot the utilite from uSD
