There are two different versions of the documentation online:

  1. http://uniqush.org/documentation/install.html
this is also linked from https://github.com/uniqush/uniqush-push/blob/master/INSTALL.md
  2. http://uniqush.org/docs/install.html

Please reduce confusion and remove the outdated version.

Besides, both state sudo apt-get install redis as the command to install redis on debian and ubuntu, whereas the package redis does not exist. The correct command is sudo apt-get install redis-server

Thank you!

  1. The URL in INSTALL.md is still working but it will redirect to the actual page. This is because I was using Trac for uniqush but changed to static pages last year. But you are right, I need to provide same consistent URL in any documents and stop using the old URL. I have fixed it.
  2. Yes, on debian-based system, the package name is redis-server. I've no idea why I typed redis instead. I have fixed it as well.

In fact, redis should not be required to be installed on the same machine with uniqush-push. (You can safely run uniqush-push on a node and run redis on another one and let them communicate through network.) I will change the dependency in the next version and change the documentation correspondingly.

Thanks for your report! Both of them are valid. All of them are fixed now.
