Idea: Using the I/O for status #18

It would be great to have the node status on a I/O pin to light up a led or something like that... It would be better to have this configurable...
Connected to the mesh status
A specific address available (ping?)

RaspberryPi have i/o, why not using it?

Absolutely! I'm in the middle of integrating the BlinkM LED to indicate
mesh status (# of connected nodes). I'll update you once I've made more
progress.

Hi Eric,

I created a separate project for the script that sets the color on a BlinkM LED module based on mesh connectivity. Check it out:
