USWDS-Site - Patterns: updates to gender identity and sex, race and ethnicity patterns #1906

Summary

  • Updated gender and sex pattern to remove duplicate reference

  • Updated race and ethnicity pattern, preview, and changelog to clarify the two-part nature of requesting race and ethnicity information (delivered together). Updated preview and reference to preview to reflect guidance.

  • Preview race and ethnicity

  • Preview gender identity and sex

Before you hit Submit, make sure you’ve done whichever of these applies to you:

  • Follow the 18F Front End Coding Style Guide and Accessibility Guide.
  • Run npm test and make sure the tests for the files you have changed have passed.
  • Run your code through HTML_CodeSniffer and make sure it’s error free.
  • Title your pull request using this format: [Website] - [UI component]: Brief statement describing what this pull request solves.

FCSM docs moved from nces.ed.gov to fcsm.gov
Added additional detail to clarify the two-part nature of requesting race and ethnicity information (delivered together). Updated preview and reference to preview to reflect guidance.
Created changelog for reference correction.
Corrected hint text on race.
De-indented copy block, changed link to html vs. markdown because of rendering issues in list.
Capitalize Census in reference. Add missing period.
