phpcov is a command-line frontend for the PHP_CodeCoverage library.
There are two supported ways of installing phpcov.
You can use the PEAR Installer to download and install phpcov as well as its dependencies. You can also download a PHP Archive (PHAR) of phpcov that has all required dependencies of phpcov bundled in a single file.
The following two commands (which you may have to run as
root) are all that is required to install phpcov using the PEAR Installer:
pear config-set auto_discover 1 pear install pear.phpunit.de/phpcov
