Hi,

Thanks for your work on this software.

These three commits provide:

  • a fix to a g++ warning in ubuntu (the change from long to size_t)
  • correct compilation under gcc-5 in Ubuntu 16.04
  • Option to disable the compilation with static libraries so the ubuntu build runs fine
  • isnan was missing in fixedpoint.h
  • The README is formatted in markdown and has detail on how to build sqct in Ubuntu.

Feel free to merge this Pull Request if you like

Fixes for gcc-5 & Ubuntu.
This commit:
- enables c++11 support as requested in the README.
- Fixes a warning on appr/topt-bfs.h
- Fixes a compilation error due to missing isnan in fixedpoint.h
Optional static linking
Static linking fails on Ubuntu 16.04, so I have put it under a
command line switch option. The default has not changed.
Updated README
- Use markdown to provide better formatting
- Describe detailed build instructions in Ubuntu
